- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
For the Tiramisu Cream:
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese, room temperature
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
- 3/4 cup vanilla-infused cereal milk (from above)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Assembly:
- 24 ladyfingers
- 2 cups vanilla-infused cereal milk (for soaking)
- 1 cup crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch (for texture and garnish)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions:
Cereal Milk Preparation:
- Toast the Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer the toasted cereal to a large pitcher and pour the milk over it. Add vanilla extract and stir.
- Let steep for 20 minutes at room temperature.
- Strain the mixture, pressing to extract flavor. Discard the cereal.
- Mix in brown sugar and salt until dissolved. Chill until needed.
Tiramisu Cream:
- In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) and whisk continuously until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, gently mix the room temperature mascarpone cheese until smooth.
- Slowly fold the mascarpone into the egg yolk mixture until fully combined. Then add the vanilla-infused cereal milk and vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream until smooth.
Assembly:
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the reserved vanilla-infused cereal milk.
- Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spread half of the tiramisu cream over the ladyfingers.
- Add a sprinkle of crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
- Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and remaining tiramisu cream.
- Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Final Touch:
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with more crushed cereal.
